THE MINDFULNESS CENTRE NI
The Mindfulness Centre NI: (The Centre) was formed by Caroline Stewart.
It has been Caroline’s long-term dream to promote mindfulness to all regardless of social, economic, religious or political boundaries; to provide an opportunity for people to understand what mindfulness is and experience the beneficial effects on wellbeing, and inner contentment, as well as reducing stress and ill health.
With the increasing acceptance of mindfulness, mainly based on the quantitative and qualitative results arising from the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, (MBCT) and Mindfulness Based Stress Relief, (MBSR), programmes, Caroline felt that it was time to offer mindfulness to a wider audience and so started the centre.
The 8-Week Mindfulness Programmes and specifically tailored Mindfulness Workshops are taught: by professionally accredited and trained Mindfulness Teachers, who follow the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teachers ‘Good practice guidelines for teaching mindfulness-based courses’
The Centre has intent to deliver mindfulness training in several areas:
- Mindfulness for the general public
- Mindfulness in the workplace
- Mindfulness in education
- Mindfulness in healthcare
In addition to providing the standard 8 Week Mindfulness courses, The Centre can also provide:
- Specially tailored workshops and courses
- Taster sessions
- 4 week and 6 week course options.
- 1 to 1 – personal coaching
As an organisation we are passionate about extending the benefits of mindfulness to all. Whilst we endeavour to keep the cost of the 8-week programme within the reach of most people, we do give a concession for those who are on low income or unwaged.
The Mindfulness Centre NI also intends to provide services on a charitable basis as the occasion arises.
